The Japanese kimono design was inspired by the Japanese world renowned cherry blossoms. As the kimono itself was made out of fine silk and was decorated with cherry blossoms, I created a design to incorporate a blooming tree surrounding the bag that will allow your eyes to follow the design through the box and discover all of its unique elements without missing any of the imports information. The design aims to honor the Japanese culture while keeping a modern fresh look. I wanted to tie off the design with a black silky ribbon that holds a strong statement piece in the kimono design, while creatively hanging the kimono itself on the tree for display.
